One Hundred Responds To Reports Of Unpaid Settlements
An exclusive report from The Fact said that many artists under the ONE HUNDRED Label and its affiliated companies, including INB100 and Big Planet Made, are still waiting for their payment. THE BOYZ, who belong to ONE HUNDRED, are yet to be paid around ₩1.00 billion KRW, or about $693,000 USD. For EXO-CBX, Baekhyun is owed ₩1.00 billion KRW, Chen and Xiumin each owe hundreds of millions of won and Taemin is yet to be paid over ₩1.00 billion KRW.
However, ONE HUNDRED quickly responded to reports of unpaid settlements. The company greeted everyone and shared their side of the story and explained that the so-called “unpaid settlements” are not a real problem. The payments are just going through normal talks and changes based on each artist’s contract and their work.
The company said The Fact’s article does not tell the true story. They felt sorry that the report came out without checking the facts properly, and they also thought that it was unfair because they were not asked for their opinion or given a chance to reply first. Lastly, they added that they put out a statement to calm fans and show that everything is being handled in the usual way.
This situation has made fans feel worried and protective toward their idols. One user wrote, “My boyssss deserve fair pay for all their talent, time, and dedication.” Another user wrote, “I hope the company and artists can solve everything soon through discussions.”
