If there is one actor-director duo everyone likes, it’s definitely Vishal Bhardwaj and Shahid Kapoor. However, before they worked on their latest film O’Romeo, rumours regarding fallout between the two took over the internet. Now, netizens can rest because the director addressed those speculations and also revealed where his relationship stands with the actor. Lets dive deep to know what the filmmaker stated.

During the O’Romeo trailer launch, director Vishal Bhardwaj reportedly touched up on the fallout rumours with Shahid Kapoor. He said, “We also have many fights and those fights are known to the media more, but there aren’t that many fights between us.” He referred to their bond with musicians like Laxmikant-Pyarelal and Kalyanji- Anandji. Bhardwaj called himself someone who’s difficult work with and also praised Jab We Met star for understanding his passive aggression. The filmmaker added that the actor should have received a National award for doing four movies with him, adding that they complement one another.

In case you didn’t know, Bhardwaj and Shahid have worked together in Kaminey, Rangoon, Haider and O’Romeo. The director expressed that just like wind is not visible to us, but it exists, that’s how this magic is created in their work. He revealed not knowing how and why it happens.

Shahid Kapoor On Working With Him

Reflecting on his first film with Vishal Bhardwaj, Kaminey, Shahid Kapoor reportedly said that he was very intimidated at first and asked the filmmaker why he was choosing him for that role, adding that he had not done anything to deserve it. Bhardwaj simply felt that Shahid could do that and that’s how their first film happened. The Kabir Singh star expressed feeling fortunate to be a part of Bhardwaj’s filmography. However, Shahid mentioned that it was producer Sajid Nadiadwala, who approached Shahid for O’Romeo, rather than Bhardwaj. The director quickly chimed in to say that he had reached out but got no response. Shahid replied by saying that it was possible that he might not have responded.

As far as O’Romeo goes, it also stars Avinash Tiwary, Tamannaah Bhatia, Tripti Dimri, Nana Patekar, Disha Patani and more.The project is slated to hit the theatres on February 13!
