Maulana Calls Out Nushrratt Bharuccha After She Visits Mahakal Temple To Seek Blessings. Ouch!
Nushrratt Bharuccha recently made headlines after paying a visit to the Mahakal Temple in Ujjain.
The beautiful thing about India is that we are a diverse country and the constitution doesn’t prohibit us from respecting these varied cultures and religions. Many celebrities like Nushrratt Bharuccha have openly done so! She recently visited the Shri Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga Temple in Ujjain to seek blessings ahead of the upcoming year. But this reportedly did not sit well with the Maulana who’s the National President of All India Muslim Jamaat. Read on to know his response to the actress’ actions.
Maulana Says Nushrratt Bharuccha Commited “Grave Sin”
Religion is a huge thing in this country, so naturally after Nushrratt Bharuccha visited the Mahakal Temple in Ujjain, conversations surrounding her religious faith sparked among people. For the unversed, the Chhorii star who was honoured with a stole at the temple, was seen participating during the Bhasma Aarti.
Now, Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi, who’s the National President of All India Muslim Jamaat shared his opinion over Nushrratt visiting the said temple. He reportedly stated that by taking part in the sacred puja, applying sandalwood on the forehead, wearing a shawl and more are a “grave sin” as per the Sharia law. The Maulana also stated that the actress’ actions didn’t align with Islam’s fundamental principles. Additionally, he also demanded that Nushrratt recite the Kalma and offer her repentance.

As of now, Nushrratt Bharuccha hasn’t responded to what Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi opined over her Mahakal temple visit. Now, it will be interesting to know what she has to say about the same. As far as her work goes, Nushrratt will be starring in Bun Tikki, which is slated to be released in 2026.
