Anusha Dandekar Reveals She Had Surgery To Remove Multiple Lumps From Ovary, Has This Crucial Advice For Women

Health concerns are real and this is why it is extremely essential for all of us to get our annual health check-ups to take care of ourselves. And more importantly, women need to pop into their gynaecologists’ clinic every now and then to keep tabs on their reproductive health. On Monday, Anusha Dandekar revealed that she recently underwent surgery to have a lump removed from her ovary!

Sharing a picture of herself, Anusha Dandekar revealed that she recently had surgery for a lump in her ovary and while the doctors were operating, they found a few more lumps. Calling herself “super lucky”, the actor and video jockey shared that recovery has been “pretty intense” but she is recovering well. She also took the opportunity to remind women to visit their Gynaecologist once a year and said that she has been doing that since she was 17 which is why she is currently in recovery and feels grateful.

Anusha Dandekar took a moment to thank her doctors and the hospital where she was operated, for making her feel safe and comfortable. She also thanked her family and friends who visited her at the hospital and constantly called and messaged her to check on her. She concluded by sharing that she still has a few weeks to go before she makes a full recovery. Anusha also said that she felt good to be able to walk outside after her surgery.

ICYMI, it is ideally recommended that women visit their gynaecologists twice a year for general check-ups and once a year for their annual health check-ups and undergo all important tests like a complete blood check-up, hormonal blood check-up as well as Pap smear. It’s best to visit your gynaecologist when you’re in the middle of your cycle i.e., one or two weeks after your periods begin unless advised otherwise by your doctor.
