As part of the festivities, a special film festival in her honour has been organized, showcasing some of her most iconic roles. One of the standout films being re-released during this event is Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (K3G), and at a recent event, Kareena revealed that she’s just as much a fan of the movie as her audience.

During a discussion ahead of the Kareena Kapoor Khan Film Festival, Kareena was asked to name the film she has watched the most. Without hesitation, she mentioned Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, highlighting the movie’s universal appeal. She also shared her love for the film’s themes of family, tradition, and warmth, which have resonated with audiences worldwide, including herself.
Reflecting on her iconic role as Pooja, affectionately known as Poo, Kareena acknowledged that her portrayal was deeply shaped by the direction of Karan Johar. According to Kareena, she followed Karan’s vision while bringing the character to life. Though Poo became a cultural phenomenon, Kareena admitted that neither she nor the team behind the film anticipated how beloved the character would become over the years. What began as a fun, lighthearted role evolved into something much more enduring and memorable.

Kareena also drew comparisons between Poo and her popular character Geet from Jab We Met. She recalled working on Tashan and Jab We Met simultaneously, expecting the action film to make a bigger impact. However, to her surprise, Jab We Met became the fan-favorite, proving that the success of a character is sometimes unexpected.
