South Korean Court Rules In Favour Of ADOR, Bans NewJeans AKA NJZ From Pursuing Independent Activities!

A legal battle is unfolding as the girl group NewJeans (NJZ) faces restrictions imposed by the court in a dispute with their agency, ADOR. On March 21st, the Seoul Central District Court granted ADOR’s request to prevent NewJeans from independently signing advertising deals, maintaining the agency’s control. This comes after NewJeans’ attempt to pursue their own activities, claiming their contract with ADOR was violated.

NewJeans (NJZ) On Court’s Ruling

However, the court’s ruling has been met with a response from NewJeans. The group stated that they respect the court’s decision but feel the deep breakdown of trust with ADOR wasn’t fully considered. They explained that the quick court process limited their ability to present all the facts. They also pointed out that getting information was difficult, as ADOR and their parent company had access to everything, while the members had to ask others for help.

However, they plan to challenge this ruling with more evidence and legal arguments. They insist they’ve always fulfilled their contract obligations, while ADOR and their parent company treated them unfairly, destroying their trust. They added that this isn’t about money; it’s about being respected and valued.

Despite the difficult situation, NewJeans will perform at ComplexCon. They want to keep their promise to their fans. They’re asking for support as they navigate the legal process, hoping to return to making music and connecting with their fans. They want people to know they’re fighting for their rights. Many fans have voiced their support towards the K-pop group; however, some are worried about it.

What are your thoughts on the court’s ruling and the K-pop group’s statement?
