All NewJeans Members Announce Return To ADOR, Release Personal Statement
The group announced their departure from ADOR in November, 2024.
Looks like one of the biggest legal battles in K-pop has come to an end. In a shocking turn of events, all 5 members of NewJeans, namely Hani, Danielle, Minji, Haerin and Hyein, have announced that they will be returning to ADOR. Last year, all members of the group announced that they would be leaving their company after alleging that they had been mistreated. However, NewJeans ended up losing their contract termination lawsuit as the court gave a verdict in ADOR’s favour. Read on to know more.
All NewJeans Members Announce Return To ADOR
On 12th November, all members of NewJeans released a statement announcing that they have collectively decided to return to their label ADOR, a subsidiary of HYBE. Previously today, two members, Hyein and Haerin, announced their return through ADOR and now the remaining three have also shared their stance.
In a statement shared with South Korean media outlets, NewJeans declared that all members have decided to continue their activities with ADOR as a full group. They added that since one member is currently in Antarctica, the news delivery had been delayed. They also added that the group has not received a response from the company; therefore, the announcement was made separately.
Speaking to media publication Ilgan News, ADOR has since then responded to NewJeans’ statement. They informed the outlet that they are currently looking into the authenticity of Minji, Danielle, and Hanni’s intent to return to the agency. “We are currently looking into the real intentions of the three members’ statement to return,” said the label.
Fans are waiting patiently to see the next move as it seems like one of Korean entertainment’s biggest feuds is finally about to conclude. NewJeans left ADOR last year following Min Hee Jin’s removal as the company’s CEO. The group later rebranded as NJZ and continued to promote before the court banned them from holding any promotional activities without ADOR’s consent.

The group remained adamant that they would not return to ADOR even after several mediation sessions were held between the two parties. In October, however, things changed after the court sided with ADOR and upheld its exclusive contract with NewJeans that is valid until 2029.
