Reportedly, many women have alleged that he exploited them in the pretext of spiritual guidance, and even used tactics like fear to hurt them or even unleash supernatural powers against them. .According to investigators, he created an atmosphere of authority by staging rituals and props to gain the trust of vulnerable people, such as women who needed someone to help them with personal or marital problems. The case has become a national headline with many disturbing videos coming up in the investigation on social media, which have also raised concerns for the privacy of the victim.
Police revealed that the usage of such content was popular on social media platforms, further traumatising victims and discouraging other victims from reporting. The government has now responded by closing down thousands of links and accounts that post objectionable content, and it has threatened to make sharing such content a crime.
Meanwhile, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) is examining multiple FIRs filed against Kharat, including rape, cheating, black magic, and financial fraud. According to reports, he allegedly exploited followers through rituals, extortion, and counterfeit energised publications, while maintaining a high-profile clientele. With the continued investigation, more complainants have emerged, and police are analysing digital evidence, money transactions, and potential accomplices in the case.
