Announced by Netflix in 2025, The WONDERfools stars Cha Eun Woo and Park Eun Bin in lead roles. Set in the year 1999, a strange assortment of people become the recipients of superpowers, instead of the world ending. All was well until information about Cha Eun Woo’s alleged tax avoidance was revealed. Since then, there have been rumours that Netflix would push the project indefinitely. However, an executive disclosed that this wasn’t the case.
The representative of the streaming platform told Soompi that The WONDERfools was “scheduled for release in the second quarter.” No changes had been made to the original airing date, and fans can be assured of seeing the series streaming anytime between April and June 2026.
A report by another media platform had declared the release date to be May 15. While the exact date remains unconfirmed, this gives us a good estimate of the schedule. According to reports, May 12-13 will see the cast attend a press conference with exclusive pre-release content.
