The topic of nepotism is much-debated in the Bollywood film industry, and many young actors have been criticised in the name of it. While many agree with their privilege, others deny that it’s a plus point. In a recent conversation, popular actor Neil Nitin Mukesh opened up about the topic and said that the success of an artist depends on their talent.

Neil Nitin Mukesh On Nepotism

During a conversation with ANI, Neil Nitin Mukesh said, “If there was any benefit of nepotism, then today I would have been somewhere else. Nepo kid is glorified in our field more. Nepo kid is glorified in our field as being an actor whatever we do, we are noticed immediately.” He mentioned how when a doctor’s kid becomes a doctor, no one points out the nepotism there. Neil said that if his daughter wanted to be in the same field someday, he would simply guide her as he can’t hand the business over.

He continued by saying that every artist creates their identity through their own creativity. Neil Nitin Mukesh, the son of Bollywood playback singer Nitin Mukesh and the grandson of veteran singer Mukesh, acknowledged that despite his lineage, things are not easy for him in the industry.

He acknowledged that, as an actor, he has faced significant struggles, especially in proving that a singer’s son can act.
