Neena Gupta truly turned all the heads after appearing at Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda’s star-studded reception with her husband, Vivek Mehra. However, the attention she garnered wasn’t just about what she wore; it was also about her seemingly looking pregnant. We aren’t saying this; the internet is. After her appearance, many thought she was carrying a child, mirroring the plot of her hit film Badhaai Ho. However, she recently spoke about the same and dismissed these rumours.
Neena Gupta Dismisses Pregnancy Rumours
When Neena Gupta‘s pictures and videos from Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda’s reception hit the internet, many thought her stomach looked like a typical baby bump, sparking pregnancy rumours. Now, Neena Gupta herself has cleared the air. As per Bollywood Hungama, she quipped that this was all she needed, a real-life Badhaai Ho. The actress mentioned that the speculations aren’t true and that she is not pregnant. Talking about her appearance, Neena Gupta revealed that the saree’s material was thick, so it made her look bulky at the reception. Having said that, the actress expressed that she loved the rumours about the pregnancy at her age, as it showed that we are evolving as a nation.

What Did She Wear?
For Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda’s reception, Neena Gupta opted to go with a classic ivory ensemble from her daughter Masaba Gupta’s fashion label. The actress wore a saree with a halter neck blouse. She added a golden statement choker and red and golden bangles to complete the look.
As far as Neena Gupta’s work front goes, she was seen in Tu Mera Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, Metro In Dino, Dil Dosti Aur Dogs and Aachari Baa. Most recently, the actress appeared in Vadh 2, with Sanjay Mishra. The project was released on February 6, 2026.
