Neena Gupta Reveals She Married Vivek Mehra Out Of Necessity, Says “I Don’t Understand Love”

Neena Gupta recently had a chat with Shubahkar Mishra during which she was asked if she married for love. The actress expressed that it was a very tough question, adding that she doesn’t understand love. She revealed that she only understands the love she has for her daughter, Masaba. The Badhaai Do star shared that she got married out of necessity. The actress further expressed that if one wants to live in society, they have to obey certain rules. Neena Gupta revealed that she learned this from her own life experiences.

Her Take On Single Women

During their chat, Neena Gupta spoke about the difficulties single women face. The actress recalled feeling uncomfortable over being viewed in a certain way when she would step out. The veteran star said, “Shaadi karlo sab theek ho jata hai.” (Get married, everything will be okay). She added that it’s a very sad thing, but it’s “true.” While highlighting how life can be for single women, Neena Gupta stated that this does not mean one should tie the knot with anyone. 

For the unversed, she got married to Vivek Mehra in the United States. The couple is reportedly in a long-distance marriage, where she lives in Mumbai, and her husband stays in Delhi. As far as her professional front goes, Neena Gupta was most recently seen in Vadh 2 with Sanjay Mishra.
