The Badhaai Ho star revealed this surprising information in a recent interview. However, Neena Gupta reportedly discouraged the fashion designer from venturing into acting. Neena Gupta Discouraged Masaba Gupta From Becoming Hindi Film Actress
During her interview with ANI, Neena Gupta opened up about how Masaba Gupta earlier wanted to be a Hindi film actress. She said that it was not her decision, it just happened like that, adding that the circumstances were such. The actress also revealed that her daughter was influenced by others around her, wanting to do the same. Neena Gupta recalled telling Masaba, “I told her, look, your face is like this, your body is like this.” The Panchayat star also told Masaba that she won’t get the heroin’s role in a Hindi film as she did not look like that, adding “It’s a fact.” She stated that her daughter did not look like the heroine of a Hindi film of that time. The veteran star then encouraged Masaba to get acting training and consider character roles.

Veteran Star Praises Masaba’s Acting!
When Masaba Masaba was released on Netflix, in which a fashion designer played a fictionalised version of herself, Neena Gupta was impressed seeing her daughter act. The veteran star reportedly cried after witnessing Masaba’s on-screen work. The actress said that her daughter is a “natural,” a professional, and a good actor. She recalled being shocked as well.
Now we can certainly say that Masaba Gupta has not only excelled in the fashion industry but in the entertainment industry as well. Apart from the above-mentioned show, she also starred in Amazon Prime Video’s Modern Love: Mumbai.
