Fans disturbing K-pop idols’ private lives and chasing them at airports just to catch a glimpse of them have become so common that it’s extremely concerning and scary. Recently, BTS V came live and asked fans to maintain peace at the airports since they’re public spaces. Now, NEO Production, which manages NCT, posted fan etiquette guidelines on Weverse. All they want is a respectful fan culture and to protect artists’ rights. Here’s everything that the guidelines cover. Read on!

NEO Production Issues Strict Fan Guidelines To Protect NCT

Airports are busy, public places, and safety comes first. Therefore, fans should avoid physical contact with artists. This means no hugging, touching, or crowding them. Letters and gifts are no longer accepted to prevent chaos.

Earlier, some fans had misused artists’ personal information to cancel their flights. Following which, NEO Production made a strong warning that such actions could lead to legal consequences.

Another major point is respecting artists’ private lives. So, fans should not show up at unofficial schedules or private locations, like the artists’ homes, or others. Stalking or showing up uninvited makes the artists uncomfortable. Hence, with these guidelines, they are asking fans to respect boundaries.

Shockingly, sometimes fans block or chase artists’ vehicles and it leads to accidents or delays. It puts everyone at risk and therefore fans should stay calm and avoid following cars or crowding around them.

In the statement, they also addressed serious issues like stalking and privacy violations. Some fans illegally obtain and share artists’ personal information, like their phone numbers or addresses. They also contact artists’ families illegally. Hence, behaviour must be stopped in order to protect the artists’ well-being.

And to make sure that everyone follows these rules, NEO Production promised to take strict legal action against anyone who stalks, leaks personal information, or commits other illegal acts. Lastly, they also thanked fans who support NCT and shower love on them in a respectful manner.
