Game Sparks Controversy After Characters Look Eerily Similar To Stray Kids’ Felix And NMIXX’s Sullyoon!

Recently, controversy grew relating to JYP artists NMIXX’s Sullyoon and Stray Kids’ Felix. A game company, NCSoft, came under hot water when its upcoming MMORPG Aion 2 featured two default characters that looked eerily similar to Felix and Sullyoon. Game Company Accused Of Copying Star Kids’ Felix And NIMIXX’s Sullyoon Face
The game company addressed the issue and stated that the character’s resemblance to the JYP idols, NMIXX’s Sullyoon and Stray Kids’ Felix, was completely unintentional. They also said that NCSoft is currently considering appropriate measures moving forward. Netizens think that the company’s response is an indirect acknowledgement of the similarity, and there is a possibility that the character design may be edited or changed.
The controversy first started during Aion 2’s official YouTube livestream on November 16. People immediately noticed that one of the game’s default female characters looks very similar to NMIXX’s Sullyoon. It even had a similar mole placement to the idol.

Following this, the viewers also noticed that one of the male characters resembled Stary Kids’ Felix. Screenshots from the game featuring the two idols quickly went viral across social media.
Industry insiders pointed out that if any game characters have strong facial similarities to a real-life figure, it could lead to a lot of controversy. Since Aion 2 is an age-restricted game, this move raised concerns about costumes and animations that could depict the idol-looking characters in a s*xualised way.
JYP Entertainment, home to both the K-pop idols, have stated that the company does not have an official opinion on the matter yet.

Shortly after Aion 2 was launched, it faced several technical problems. Users were not able to log in for nearly two hours, and the developers had to hold an emergency livestream to issue an apology.
