The National Film Awards are the highest honour for actors, filmmakers, and everyone involved, and winning this award is a dream for many. It holds an extremely high value, as the results are known to be not at all biased. But who makes the decision? Well, there’s a jury, which is chosen by the Directorate of Film Festivals. They select the winners, and the President of India presents the awards. Recently, on August 1, the 71st National Film Awards were revealed at a press conference and here’s the list of winners below!

All About The Winners Of The National Film Awards

Shah Rukh Khan and Vikrant Massey earned the Best Actor award for their excellent performances in Jawan and 12th Fail. Their performances shined brightly and the films made a long-lasting impression.

Rani Mukerji won Best Actress for her epic performance in Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway. Fans are extremely excited, as they have been waiting for this moment for a long time.

And now, let’s talk about the supporting roles. Urvashi for Ullozhukku and Janki Bodiwala for Vash took home Best Supporting Actress, while Vijayaraghavan for Pookkaalam and Muthupettai Somu Bhaskar for Parking won Best Supporting Actor.

Onto the music category. Shilpa Rao won Best Female Playback Singer for Jawan. PVN S Rohit earned the Best Male Playback Singer award for Baby. Sudipto Sen received the Best Director award for The Kerala Story. The film is still talked about on the internet.

Furthermore, 12th Fail earned the award for Best Feature Film and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani won Best Wholesome Entertainment. Pookkaalam took home the award for Best Editing, while Animal won Best Sound Design. The Best Screenplay award went to Baby (Telugu) and Parking (Tamil).

The Best Dialogue Writer award was given to Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai (Hindi) and the Best Cinematography award was given to The Kerala Story. Congratulations to everyone!
