Nargis Fakhri Wants To Work With Sandeep Reddy After Watching Animal
Indian actor Nargis Fakhri spoke about Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal at length in a recent interview. She also talked about what liked about Ranbir Kapoor’s character and could not stop talking about his class-apart acting skills. In her interview with Filmfare, Nargis Fakhri appreciated Ranbir Kapoor’s character in Animal and how well it was written. The actress loved how the ‘alpha male’ character was explored in the film and also appreciated the writing of the female characters. Nargis Fakhri acknowledged that even though the female characters were not ‘leads’ in the film, they had very “juicy parts”. Furthermore, Nargis Fakhri expressed her wish to work with directors like Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Rajkumar Hirani among others.
Well, while it’s true that a film should be watched like a film and not otherwise, the fact remains that it still influences the youth of today. Ranbir Kapoor’s character in Animal glorified the toxic alpha male behaviour in men. And, sadly, a leading actress like Nargis Fakhri ended up liking the very problematic aspect of the film. Ranbir Kapoor certainly did a very good job in portraying the character in this film but the layers of the alpha male that Nargis liked is quite a problematic statement.
