The Indian music industry lost a gem on June 31, with the sudden death of Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK. The singer died from a heart attack after a performance at a college fest in Kolkata’s Nazrul Manch. The tragic death of KK gave rise to many speculations from fans and as well as some celebrities. It is not the first time when a celebrity’s death has been speculated about so much and demands have been made to start a CBI probe into their death. A similar demand has been raised by actor Om Puri’s wife, Nandita Puri.
Nandita Puri took to Facebook to express her opinions on the untimely death of singer KK. Nandita went on to blame the West Bengal government for KK’s death, claiming that they were covering up their mistakes by giving him a state farewell. Nandita backed up her claims by writing that Nazrul Manch’s ventilation and air conditioning were inadequate and that no paramedics were called despite KK’s complaints about perspiring. Nandita has also asked celebrities not to perform in West Bengal and has requested a CBI investigation into the case.
As per news reports, the initial findings of KK’s post-mortem report had ruled out any foul play and suggested that the singer died due to myocardial infarction. Doctors also asserted that KK had prolonged cardiac issues. Some reports also claim that KK had 80% blockage in the left main coronary artery, and excess excitement during the show stopped blood flow, ultimately leading to his death. KK was cremated in Mumbai, in the presence of his family members and also some Bollywood celebrities.

It is not new to see CBI requests into a celebrities death, many videos had also gone viral showing the entire timeline as to what happened with KK, and there will be a flow of opinions on the same. However, Nandita Puri’s request of asking for a complete boycott of the state is a little too much!
