Korean Artiste Accuses Nag Ashwin’s Film Kalki 2898 AD Of Stealing His Artwork. Netizens Say “Shame On Them”

We finally got a glimpse of Nag Ashwin’s dystopian society in Kalki 2898 AD after the trailer was finally released on June 10, Monday. However, the film is surrounded by serious controversy even before its release. A South Korean artiste has accused the makers of stealing his original art in the film. He also shared some proof to back his point.

Korean Artist Makes A BIG Allegation Against Nag Ashwin’s Film Kalki 2898 AD. 

A Korean artiste by the name of Sung Choi took to his social media and shared proof to accuse the makers of Kalki 2898 AD of allegedly stealing his artwork. He shared a screenshot of a VFX image from the trailer and also put the original artwork done by him almost 10 years ago. Both images are the same with a few differences here and there. In the caption, the Korean artiste also slammed the makers for using his work without authorisation and called it a “Bad practice”. The artiste also wondered if it was worth doing art in this lawless environment.

Many social media users reacted to the post and slammed the makers. They wrote “shame on them”, while others suggested that Korean artists should take strong legal action against them. The rage among the Netizens was clearly visible in the comment section.

Kalki 2898 AD stars Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patni in lead roles. The film’s trailer received a mixed reaction from the people. The film is all set to hit the theatres on June 27.  It’s going to be a big release in the theatres and is a much-anticipated film of this year.
