In a positive news piece today, stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui and his wife Mehzabean Coatwala have welcomed a daughter! Yes, you read that right. The stand-up comedian, who is also known for participating in reality shows, shared this news on his Instagram handle. As soon as he posted this, many of his fans flooded the comments section by sharing their love and congratulating him and Mehzabeen. Know all about it below!
Munawar Faruqui, Mehzabeen Coatwala Welcome Baby Girl
Munawar Faruqui took to his Instagram and shared a carousel that includes pictures taken from the hospital. In the first picture, his wife Mehzabeen Coatwala can be seen holding his hand over their daughter’s crib. He then featured glimpses of the scenery from their hospital window, the baby’s crib, and Mehzabeen holding their daughter. He did not show the face off his wife, himself, or the baby. In the caption, he penned, “Ghar barkat aayi. Blessed. Alhmdulillah. dua mai khas yaad rakhe!” Check out Munawar’s post below.
For the unversed, Munawar Faruqui also has a son, Mikael, whom he welcomed with his previous wife, Jasmine. Additionally, Mehzabeen Coatwala, who is a makeup artist, also reportedly has a 10-year-old daughter, Samaira, from her first marriage. She and the stand-up comedian decided to tie the knot in 2024.

Munawar Faruqui opened up about his wedding story with Mehzabeen Coatwala in one of Farah Khan’s vlogs. He stated that he decided to marry her because of his son. He shared, “The thing is, the person with whom I got married, the date got fixed just a month before it.” Munawar then recalled that after coming out of Bigg Boss, he was equipped with a lot of work, due to which his son was living with his sister. Then he spent a week with Mikael, but when he was leaving, Munawar didn’t feel like letting him go, and the little one kept on hugging the stand-up comedian, which made him think that he needed him. At that point, Munawar wondered what he could do to keep Mikael with him, and then he ended up deciding to go to the knot with Mehzabeen. The stand-up comedian mentioned that her situation was quite the same as his.
