In recent events, the famous actor Mrunal Thakur opened up about her experience of working on Ajay Devgn’s Son of Sardaar 2. The actor, who is currently busy promoting Dacoit, revealed in a recent chat that some of her important scenes were removed from the final cut and that she had no idea that a senior actor would be playing her on-screen husband. During a chat with journalist Prema, Mrunal Thakur revealed that the film’s creative decisions took a hit on her. She stated, “I didn’t know a very senior actor was going to play my husband. Because that just changes my…this is not what I expected from the movie. So, there I failed. Because there was a little bit of trust that was shaken. But you know what, I don’t have regrets.” She also said that some of her crucial scenes that could have added depth to her character and a storyline had been cut from the film.

She recalled a touching scene where she gave up her personal life for her niece’s better life. She stated that she was not aware that two of her important scenes would not make it to the final cut and that the narrative was missing. Despite all these misunderstandings, Mrunal Thakur assured everyone that there was no bad blood and that she shared a good relationship with the film’s team.

Son of Sardaar 2, the sequel to the 2012 smash, includes an ensemble cast starring Ajay Devgn as the ever-dashing Jassi, Mrunal as Rabia, Ravi Kishan, Neeru Bajwa, Deepak Dobriyal, Kubbra Sait, and Chunky Pandey. It did not perform well at the box office.
