She was rumoured to be dating actor Dhanush. The speculation began after he was seen attending her film Son of Sardaar 2’s premiere last year. Now shedding light on the same, the actress finally revealed why he was at the event in the first place.
Mrunal Thakur Reveals Why Dhanush Attended Son of Sardaar 2 Premier
Mrunal Thakur recently had a chat with Mirchi Plus, during which she revealed why Dhanush attended Son of Sardaar 2’s premiere in 2025. The actress first praised him and mentioned watching his films, including Raayan, Raanjhanaa, Maari, and Captain Miller. She called herself a huge fan of Dhanush, adding that she could watch his film Asuran multiple times. Further, Mrunal said that he is such an institution, and it takes so much for an actor to take out that performance from other actors as well.
She went on to reveal why he attended the said film premiere last year. Mrunal shared that the event happened while he was shooting Tere Ishk Mein during which she requested Dhanush to attend the screening of Son of Sardaar 2. The actress revealed she didn’t know he would show up, but he just came. She recalled being happy and calling it “sweet.” Mrunal also expressed her wish to work with him one day.

Her Professional Front
Mrunal Thakur’s new film, titled Do Deewane Seher Mein, was released on February 20th. This marked the first time she and Siddhant Chaturvedi shared screen space. Before that, she was seen in Son of Sardaar 2 with Ajay Devgn. As far as Siddhant’s last film goes, he was featured in Dhadak 2 with Triptii Dimri.
