Mr. And Mrs. Mahi’s first track titled Dekha Tenu, has made its much-awaited debut, offering listeners a taste of romance infused with Punjabi flair. This remake version of the iconic K3G song Shava Shava brings together the talents of singer Mohammad Faiz and lyricist Jaani, promising to serenade audiences with its catchy melodies and heartfelt lyrics and of course featuring the romantic duo of the movie Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao.
Sung by Mohd. Faiz the original hook line Dekha Tenu retains its enchanting charm, but as the song takes a departure from its original line and gets mixed with heavy incorporation of Punjabi elements it kind of loses its touch. Jaani tries hard to with his lyrical prowess weave Punjabi words seamlessly into the song, adding a contemporary twist to the beloved classic.

Karan Johar while sharing a sneak peak of the song had shared a post on Instagram where he talked about how the song already echoes in the hearts with only a small glimpse. He also mentioned how Dekha Tenu is song which is very close to his heart and the audiences will soon have the same feeling towards it.

The movie is directed by Sharan Sharma and stars Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao in lead roles. Notably this marks the second collaboration between director Sharan Sharma and Janhvi Kapoor after having worked on Gunjan Saxena. The movie is slated for theatrical release on May 31, 2024.
