Another day, another new story of misbehaviour against women. It’s sad, but the reality is that this happens very casually where sometimes the person who has faced this doesn’t even realise it. Recently, Mouni Roy appeared on Apoorva Mukhija aka Rebel Kid’s new show titled Spice It Up. She reflected on facing a horrifying incident during her early acting days. Brace yourself because it can get heavy! Read on to know what she said.
Mouni Roy On The Incident
On the Spice It Up show, Mouni Roy was asked if she had ever faced casting couch or if someone had ever misbehaved with her in the industry. The Salakaar actor clarified that she has never faced the casting couch but had faced “badtameezi”(misbehaviour). Delving into the incident, Mouni recalled that when she was 21-22 years old, she went to someone’s office. The story narration was in progress with people being present inside. She recalled that suddenly there was a scene where a girl loses her consciousness after falling into a swimming pool. The hero gets her out and gives her mouth-to-mouth respiration after which she gains consciousness.
Mouni did not reveal who that person exactly was but said that a man held her face and showed her mouth-to-mouth respiration. She said she didn’t understand exactly what happened in that one split second. Mouni shared that she began shaking and ran downstairs. Talking about how this situation impacted her, the actor said it “scarred” her for a long time.
This incident is horrifying and can deeply harm one’s mental health. Such trauma sometimes stays lifelong. It’s sad how people who have faced such kind of misbehaviour have to pay the price with their mental health for something that the other person did.
