Mouni Roy took to her Instagram stories and revealed that she had to attend an event in Karnal which didn’t go as planned.

In recent events, Bollywood actor Mouni Roy has come forward and shared a horrifying incident from a recent event that she was set to perform at. The actor took to her Instagram stories and shared a detailed description of how two men who were old enough to pass as grandparents passed lewd comments on her. Read to know what happened here.

What Mouni Roy Said

On Saturday, January 24, Mouni Roy took to her Instagram stories and revealed that she had to attend an event in Karnal which didn’t go as planned. She wrote, “I am disgusted at the behaviour of the guests specially two uncles who are well aged to be grandparents. As the event started and walked on the stage uncles and family members (all men) put their hands on my waist to click pictures. Didn’t like it when I said, ‘Sir pls remove your hand.’” But the story didn’t end here.

While the actor was on the stage, the two uncles stood in front of her, making lewd remarks, making gestures, and when she asked them to stop, they instead started throwing roses at her. She said that even when she exited the performance mid stage, no family member of theirs came forward to stop this. Mouni said that if someone as experience as her had go through this, she could 0nly imagine what new girls might have to go through.

The actress further said that she was humiliated and wanted to take action for such a behaviour. She further added, “We are artists trying to earn an honest living through our craft. Wonder what these men would do if their friends behaved the same with their daughters, sisters or any family members. Shame on you!” The actress even mentioned other uncles filming her from low angles which was humiliating for her as a guest.

This incident is extremely traumatic and we wish the actress strength to get through such a difficult time. Meanwhile, strict punishments for these men is what we hope they get!
