Renowned playback singer Monali Thakur, celebrated for chartbusters like Sawaar Loon and Cham Cham, recently faced an unfortunate turn of events during her concert in Varanasi. What was anticipated to be a memorable evening turned chaotic due to severe mismanagement, forcing the singer to end the performance abruptly. This let to the singer walking out of the concert due to safety concerns.
Monali Thakur Walks Out Of Varanasi Concert
The event reportedly suffered from glaring organisational lapses, including a poorly constructed stage that posed significant risks to the performers. Monali, who was accompanied by her team of dancers, expressed deep frustration over the situation. She highlighted the unsafe infrastructure, revealing that the stage was unstable and could have resulted in injuries. The mismanagement left her visibly upset as she addressed the crowd, apologising for the show’s premature conclusion.
Monali strongly criticised the event organisers, describing their handling of the concert as both unethical and irresponsible. She conveyed her disappointment, stating that the poorly managed event had not only jeopardised the safety of the performers but also failed the audience, who had come to enjoy a night of music and entertainment. The singer, however, reassured her fans that she would return with a better-planned event in the future, one that would meet her standards and deliver the quality her supporters deserve.

Acknowledging the loyalty and expectations of her fans, Monali explained that her team had tried their best to salvage the event despite the challenging conditions. She expressed her hope to eventually oversee all aspects of her events personally, to avoid relying on unreliable management teams.
Currently residing in Switzerland, Monali frequently returns to India for concerts and professional commitments. The incident in Varanasi has undoubtedly raised concerns about the importance of event safety and accountability in the entertainment industry, even Diljit Dosanjh during his Mumbai concert raised the same issues about the lack of infrastructure when it comes to music concerts.
