Min Hee Jin Ordered To Pay Fine In Workplace Harassment Case
On October 16, the Seoul Western District Court ruled that Min Hee Jin’s actions against a former employee of ADOR, named under the pseudonym ‘A’, constituted an instance of workplace harassment. The district court also upheld a previous verdict decided by the Seoul Labour Office to impose a fine on her for harassing the employee who formerly worked under her.
The employee had filed a complaint against the NewJeans founder back in 2024 with the Seoul Labour Office. In their complaint, ‘A’ alleged that they had suffered verbal abuse and workplace maltreatment. After reviewing their complaint, the Seoul Labour Office admitted that Min had caused mental distress to ‘A’ and ordered her to pay a fine in March of this year.
In response, the former ADOR side then appealed the order by taking the case to the civil court. A review was conducted into the suit and the initial verdict. The Seoul Western District Court sided with the Labour Office’s decision by upholding the fine imposition as valid.
