Janhvi Kapoor is all set to deliver a versatile role with her upcoming film Mili. The Good Luck Jerry star is starring in the film as Mili, and the movie is the Hindi remake of the Malayalam survival thriller that goes by the title Helen. Mathukutty Xavier is the director of both these films. Apart from Janhvi Kapoor, Sunny Kaushal and Manoj Pahwa also essay prominent roles. The first look of Mili had people wondering what the trailer of the film will all be about, and those questions were answered on October 15, 2022, with its release.
Mili’s trailer begins with a shivering Janhvi Kapoor trapped in the freezer room of a fast-food joint. Her ears and nose have begun bleeding as well. The two-minute-20-second trailer goes on to show Mili’s backstory, about how she lives with her father and is preparing to go to Canada for further studies.
But while she is here, she takes up a job at a local fast-food joint. She is seen frying the fries and taking the customer’s orders with a smile on her face. Mili is also seen romancing Sunny Kaushal, who essays the role of Sameer in the film. All is well when one day, she gets trapped in the freezer of the fast-food joint.
Mili tries to break open the door. bangs on the door and even tries to scream her lungs out, but no one hears her. The temperature of the freezer keeps dropping and goes down as low as -17 degrees! Now, Mili has to race against time to save herself from dying of frostbite. She has nothing to protect herself from the freezing cold either.
The trailer itself gave me the chills. To be stuck in a freezer with below 0-degree temperature is a situation that I do not even want to imagine being in. What adds a touch of thrill to the whole movie is that it is based on true events! Jahnvi Kapoor looks quite convincing as Mili and her struggles being stuck in this life-and-death situation also seem genuine.

I am loving how Janhvi is pushing her horizons and choosing roles that are literally very difficult to portray. I could never imagine her taking up this role but here she is, defying all public expectations for the good! Mili hits theatres on November 4, and I am booking first-day-first-show tickets for sure!
