The craze for BTS concerts remains unstoppable. The legendary K-pop group just hit a milestone by selling out 44 stadium shows for their 2026-2027 ARIRANG World Tour in under an hour. Well, it makes perfect sense, as fans have waited years to see all members perform live again after their military service. Now, Mexico’s president has shared that she sent a letter to South Korea’s president, politely requesting extra concert dates in Mexico. Read on to know more!

Here’s Why ARMYs Are Divided Over Mexico President’s Letter To SK President Demanding More BTS Concert Dates

As per reports, Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum explained during a press conference that huge numbers of young people wanted tickets for BTS’s upcoming shows in Mexico City. She said over 150,000 tickets sold fast for the three planned dates in May, but more than a million fans tried to get them.

Feeling the excitement and disappointment among the youth, she sent a letter to South Korea’s President Lee Jae-myung. In it, she asked for help to add more concerts in Mexico or find other ways, like live screenings, to let more people enjoy the performances. She hoped for a good reply from them to make BTS more reachable for Mexican fans.

Following which, everyone shared their thoughts. Some fans found it funny or surprising that a president got involved. Others wondered why the request went to the South Korean leader instead of the group’s company, HYBE, or the tour organisers. A few supported the idea and said that they too wished to see BTS live. But not everyone liked it. Some people felt politicians should focus on bigger issues like the economy or safety instead of this.
