He recently spoke about some last-minute problems that happened right before walking the red carpet. The series of events also includes pop artist Shakira’s wardrobe malfunction. Diljit Dosanjh has kept us updated with his experience of his first Met Gala 2025. In one of his recent videos, Diljit spilt some tea about the mishaps that happened before the main show and all that led to the delay of his presence on the Met Gala red carpet. The singer was supposed to be clicked with the International pop artist Shakira, and during the video, Diljit revealed that a wardrobe malfunction of Shakira led to them getting late for the red carpet. The singer further revealed that Shakira’s team was trying to control a last-minute dress problem. As per him, the chain of Shakira’s dress broke, and some fixing was needed to sort out the problem. The singer shared the details in his YouTube vlog.
In this Behind The Scenes video, Diljit also had a funny one-liner. He said that due to Shakira’s emergency, his work was being affected. He also referred to Shakira’s song and said, “Hips don’t lie, she don’t lie.”

For the unversed, Diljit Dosanjh wore a Prabal Gurung outfit, and he paid homage to the Maharaja of Patiala. He turned heads on the red carpet. In these BTS videos, the actor expressed his confidence before walking the carpet and said that he was not nervous at all.
