Mawra Hocane Dropped From Sanam Teri Kasam Sequel Amid India-Pakistan Tensions

Popular film Sanam Teri Kasam has been making headlines for the past few weeks due to the tension between its two leads. Fans were excited when the sequel was announced, but now the feeling is bittersweet. While Harshvardhan Rane is confirmed for the part, Pakistani actor Mawra Hocane’s comeback looks highly unlikely after the recent tensions between India and Pakistan.

Mawra Hocane Removed From Sanam Teri Kasam

During a recent interview with Hindi Rush, the directors Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru were asked about the Sanam Teri Kasam sequel. Though they didn’t say much about the cast, Vinay clarified that Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane wasn’t a part of it. This comes after tensions between India and Pakistan rose after the horrific Pahalgam attack. Its response Operation Sindoor was criticised by many Pakistani celebs like Mahira Khan, Fawad Khan, Mawra Hocane, and Hania Aamir, leading to their ban from the Indian film industry.
