Matt Rife Becomes The Legal Guardian Of Annabelle

In a recent video on Instagram, Rife disclosed that he, along with Elton Castee, is the legal guardian of Annabelle. In the video, he said, “We are the legal caretakers and guardians of all 750 haunted objects and items in the Warren Museum, including the Annabelle doll.” However, the comedian also made it clear that, though they don’t own the objects, they will have them in their custody for a minimum of five years.

The duo also confirmed that they’ve bought the Monroe, Connecticut, residence of the deceased paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, which also features the museum where their creepy collection resides.

Tony Spera, the Warrens’ son-in-law and co-executive director of their group, New England Society for Psychic Research, made it clear that the haunted artifacts are still owned by the Warrens’ family. He clarified that the items are only being leased to Rife.

Matt Rife has long been a fan of the supernatural. “You also may know The Conjuring films are my favorite scary movies of all time,” he wrote on Instagram, posing beside the Annabelle doll. “So I’m incredibly honored to have taken over one of the most prominent properties in paranormal history.”

Matt Rife and Elton Castee are now set to open the home and museum up for overnight visits and guided tours, allowing horror franchise fans to experience the chilling history for themselves.
