In recent events, Martin Short just revealed that he accidentally cut Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s wedding cake, almost spoiling it. The 75-year-old shared a hilarious incident as a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live recently. Martin Short About Selena Gomez’s Wedding
As per PEOPLE, Martin Short expressed how the wedding was beautiful and perfect, except on the night of the reception. He shared that the party had big tents with small lounge areas in the back and that he was sitting with his friend from Only Murders in the Building. This also included stars like Steve Martin and Paul Rudd. He further stated, “And there was a wedding cake by our section, but it was a small wedding cake. I just assumed there was a wedding cake for each section in the back.”

Short said that he had a fork in his hand and thought that it would be nice to offer some. He mentioned that maybe he had had a cocktail and told Steve that he couldn’t leave without having a piece of the wedding cake. He cut into it a few times until many in the group started screaming. Only then did Martin Short realise that it was the wedding cake. A snapshot of the cake showed on the screen during the performance while he related the incident, with a large slice missing from the side.

The 75-year-old tried fixing it with the fork, but realised that it was too late. After this, the wedding team was called in, and the chef reworked it. In the end, it looked like the typical Hollywood cake, but with a little work on it. He also said that he didn’t want to let Selena Gomez find this out. Gomez revealed her wedding in September with a series of photos on Instagram.
