Manjummel Boys Director Booked In S*xual Assault Case: Reports

Another disturbing case has made headlines, and it involves the popular Manjummel Boys director Chidambaram. Reportedly, the filmmaker has been accused of s*xual assault by a female actor. The police has confirmed about the complaint on Monday, and it has been registered at a police station in Kerala. As per the report, the incident happened in 2022. Read here to know more about it.

Manjummel Boys’ Director Accused Of Assault

As per The Hindu report, the complaint has been filed at the Ernakulam Town South police in Kerala. The police confirmed it on Monday. It has been made by a female actor, and as per the reports, the incident happened in 2022, when the director allegedly misbehave with her at an apartment in Kochi. Furthermore, the director has been booked under Section 74 (outrage the modesty of a woman) and Section 75 (sexual harassment offences) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. As per the reports, police will follow the procedure to investigate the case, and has assured that the case will be handled with fairness.

Chidambaram is popularly known for Manjummel Boys that was one of the biggest blockbusters in 2024.The film received praise from audience and critics, and it became the highest grossing Malayalam film of that year. This was Chidambaram’s second film as a director. He had made his debut in 2021 with the film Jan.E.Man. In the beginning of his career, he has worked as an Assistant Director is some films.
