On April 9, the trailer of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Netflix series Heeramandi was unveiled finally. Manisha Koirala will be seen in the role of a stro-headed courtesan Mallikajaan. During the trailer launch event, the actress spoke about the reunion with SLB after more than 20 years. The actress revealed that she waited for almost 28 years to get a call from Sanjay Leela Bhansali. She hailed the director and said that he always brings out the best in actors.

Manisha Koirala also said that it was her honour to work with him and that the film has been made with a lot of love. The actress also revealed that actors have to give a little more effort on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s set.

For the unversed, Manisha Koirala has worked with SLB in Khamoshi: The Musical which also stars Nana Patekar and Salman Khan. Heeramandi is the second venture of the star with SLB and the trailer, posters and everything looks amazing. Manisha Koirala has always come out stronger in her personal and professional life. After a long battle with cancer, she finally beat the disease in 2015 and has always spoken about the lessons life taught her. It is amazing to see her back on the screen and we can’t wait to watch Heeramandi.
