Manish Malhotra’s team shared an official statement stating that the family expressed gratitude for the long and fulfilling life that Garima Malhotra lived. The note stated, “We share the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, Mrs Sudarshan Malhotra, at the age of 94. Having been blessed with a long and fulfilling journey, she leaves behind cherished memories, generations of love and a legacy that will continue to guide us.”

Despite being the mother of one of Bollywood’s most prominent designers, Sudarshan Malhotra kept a modest profile and mainly avoided the spotlight. The cremation is scheduled for March 20, 2026, at 10 am at the Hindu Crematorium in Santa Cruz West, Mumbai. Family and well-wishers are invited to attend, offer prayers, and pay their final respects. The official cause of death has not yet been confirmed by the family.
Many celebs including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Kiara Advani, Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan with Natasha Dalal, Karisma Kapoor, Zoya Akhtar, Malaika Arora, and Arjun Kapoor. Filmmaker Karan Johar, along with Ananya Panday, Sonali Bendre, Raveena Tandon, Sanjay Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra, and Raghav Chadha, were also seen at the venue.
