Controversies in the K-pop world are massive. Every day, a new scandal or controversy arises, which leads to a heated debate online. Previously, there was public outrage over MAMAMOO Hwasa’s performance at a university festival. A group of parents and students reported the singer to police after she allegedly made an inappropriate gesture during her performance. And now, she has opened up about the aftermath. Read on!

Recently, Hwasa was on the show Crazy Rich Koreans, where she talked about all the criticism she got last year because of her performance. The singer shared how she dealt with it and how her mom’s text helped her through it.

The K-pop idol said that the message from her mom, asking her if she was okay, made her heart break. She thought about how her parents didn’t always get her when she was younger, so she wondered how anyone else could. But then, her mom told her she was proud of her daughter, which meant a lot to her.

She also spoke about feeling restless at an airport. In response, her older staff members hugged her, and she started crying right there. Even if they don’t remember it, she felt that they truly wanted to protect her, and she’s very thankful for that.
