She said that such situations do happen, and that she had faced them herself. The actress said that people often test limits quietly before making a move openly. As per her, small details like body language and how one behaves around you in the industry mattered.

Malti Chahar also said that being firm from the start can help one avoid this behaviour. She discussed her upbringing and how it influenced her responses. She claimed that her father’s experience in the Indian Air Force inspired her discipline and lucidity, which are frequently shown in her behaviour and talks. She believes this helped to prevent many awkward situations from escalating.

Recalling an incident involving an elderly and well-known filmmaker, she said that they had met first time for a project and when the work was done, she hugged him from the side as a polite gesture. But little did she know that his intentions were opposite. He tried to kiss the Bigg Boss 19 star on the lips, leaving her stunned. After sopping him, she said that she vowed never to see him again. The incident was mainly disturbing for her because of her views of the person; she had always respected the director and considered him a ‘father figure.’ This incident reminded the actress of never putting anyone on a pedestal.
