After starring in several films together, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Parvathy Thiruvothu are going to share the screen again in a film titled I, Nobody. The film’s poster has drawn attention because Parvathy Thiruvothu’s name appears before Prithviraj Sukumaran’s. During a recent interview with Galatta Plus, Prithiviraj addressed this discussion and revealed that the decision was intentional and was not based on any kind of star status. Prithviraj Sukumaran further added that Parvathy Thiruvothu was playing an important character in the film and that he was also a producer in the film. The actor acknowledged that he featured in all posters, and his name also appeared as the producer of the film. According to the actor, he did not want to be self-indulgent, and that’s the least he could do, and therefore, he did not want to put his name before Parvathy Thiruvothu. The actor hailed Parvathy Thiruvothu’s knowledge of films and her approach to films.
Well, that’s certainly very thoughtful of the star. And we have now started seeing female actors’ names appear before the male counterparts, even in some pre-credit scenes. This kind of equality in the film industry is also appreciated by the audience, and some stars have to set an example for that.
