Kerala Police Arrests Malayalam Actor Vijay Babu In Sexual Assault Case, Investigation To Start Soon
Malayalam actor/producer Vijay Babu has been embroiled in a sexual assault case filed by a budding actress against him. Now, in what comes as a new development in the case, he has been arrested by the Kerala police in connection to the same case. The budding actress filed a complaint against him stating that he took advantage of her when she was not in the conscious state to give him consent.

As per a report by the Economic Times, the police will begin an investigation into the matter soon enough and also begin collecting evidence for the case. He was arrested by the police after he had appeared for questioning at the Ernakulam South Police station. In the last hearing, the Kerala High Court granted him anticipatory bail and also asked him to pay a bond of Rs 5 lakh. The court had also directed that he should be released on bail if the police do ever arrest him with regards to this case.

Now, it is also reported that he could be arrested again for revealing the name of the victim on Facebook live. The actress who filed a complaint against him had said he had intoxicated her and then took advantage of her. Furthermore, she went on to say that she did not file the complaint before because she was scared of Vijay Babu’s reach and power.

A report by Mathrubhoomi says that Vijay Babu had offered Rs 1 crore to the actress as a bribe so that she would take her complaint back. This aspect of the case is also going to be investigated soon.
