Malaika Arora Says Friends, Family Judged Her After Divorce With Arbaaz Khan. Aisa Kyun?

A woman’s decision to separate from her husband is often associated as a sign of shame and not taking control of her life, and we have seen it happen often in front of us. Bollywood star Malaika Arora was previously married to filmmaker and actor Arbaaz Khan from 1998 to 2017. And during a recent chat, she opened up about the judgment and backlash she got during this time, not just from the public, but from her own family and friends.

During a recent chat with India Today, Malaika Arora revealed the response to her decision to end her marriage with Arbaaz Khan. She said, “I faced a lot of judgment and backlash, not just from the public, but even from my friends and family. I was questioned about all my choices at that point. Nonetheless, I’m so happy that I stuck by my choices. I have no regrets. ” She said that though she didn’t know what life had for her in the future, at that point, she knew she had to make that move. She revealed how many questioned her for keeping her happiness first.

Malaika shared that going through a failed marriage has not made her lose faith in the institution. She explained that while she still believes in marriage, she doesn’t see it as something she is actively chasing. Content with where she is in life, Malaika reflected on having been married before, moving on from it, and experiencing other relationships since, without becoming bitter or cynical. While she is open to the idea of marriage if it happens naturally, she made it clear that she is not seeking it out and is happy letting life take its own course.
