Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis Expresses Anger Over Ranveer Allahbadia For Joke On India’s Got Latent

Samay Raina and Ranveer Allahbadia have been making headlines for all the wrong reasons. On the recent episode of India’s Got Latent, the latter’s ‘Would you rather’ question shocked viewers and received immense backlash online. In recent updates, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis condemned the YouTuber for his indecent question and said that freedom of speech should also have a limit.

Devendra Fadnavis Slams Ranveer Alalahbadia

During a recent interaction with the media, Devendra Fadnavis said, “I have been informed about this, though I have not watched it yet. I came to know that it was very vulgar and this was wrong. Everyone has freedom of speech but this freedom ends when we encroach upon others’ freedom.” He also said that anyone who crosses the limit will face action. Two Mumbai lawyers have already filed a police complaint against Beer Biceps.

Seeking an FIR against Allahbadia and other comics, lawyers Ashish Rai and Pankaj Mishra have written to Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phalsankar and the state women’s commission, highlighting how remarks made on the ‘India’s Got Latent’ show are disrespectful to women and must be taken seriously. The complaint mentions Allahabadia, comics Samay Raina, and Apoorva Makhija, among others.

The complaint alleges that the comics made offensive statements regarding women’s bodies. According to the complaint, their words instilled disgusting sentiments in children about their parents. The lawyers claim that such claims were made only for financial gain.

They have requested that the ‘India’s Got Latent’ event be cancelled and a complaint be filed against the comics and the program’s organizers.
