Made In Heaven 2’s Trinetra Haldar Opens Up About Effeminate Side As A Boy, Says Madhuri Dixit ‘Mesmerised’ Her

Trinetra Haldar made her big acting debut with Prime Video’s Made In Heaven season. The audience is left in awe of her performance as Meher in the drama show which also highlights the struggle she has to go through as a trans-person. In a recent interview, Trinetra Haldar shared how she wanted to be an actress from a young age and also how she was ‘mesmerised’ by Madhuri Dixit’s dance in her comeback movie Aaja Nachle. She also revealed that her tuition teacher told her mother that something was wrong with her when she openly showed her effeminate side when she was a boy.

In an interview with Mashable India, Trinetra Haldar opened up about how she realised that there were certain things she could not do as a boy out in open, and one of them was dancing to Madhuri Dixit’s Aaja Nachle. She said that this film was the first time she saw Madhuri Dixit and was completely mesmerised by her dancing. Trinetra added that she had all the steps to the song by heart and would even dance at her tuition classes.

But given how Trinetra Haldar, who was born as Angad, did not conform to society’s behavioural norms as a boy, her tuition teacher told her mother, “Aapka beta kuch gadbad hai” meaning “There is something wrong with your son.” Trinetra revealed that she kept it quite after this incident and also had realised that there were certain things that he could not do as a boy.

Made In Heaven 2 actor Trinetra Haldar went on to say that she would steal her mother’s sarees and jewellery and dress up privately. Talking about her sexuality, she said that she was just behaving as who she was and did not do all that with a ‘rebellious’ attitude.
