Lust Stories 2: Neena Gupta’s Mount Fuji Dialogue Was The Only Explosive Bit In This Underwhelming Trailer
Did not give us the "Oh Yeah" moment!
There are a handful of Indian shows and movies that focus on female pleasure and how it is as equally important as men’s. One of the films that perfectly understood the assignment of highlighting this is Lust Stories. The first part of this Netflix anthology film was a hit, and I am extremely pleased that they are coming back with a second part, too! The much-anticipated teaser of Lust Stories 2 gave a peek into the stellar cast that is on board this film and now we finally have the trailer too! Stalwarts like Neena Gupta and Kajol, and contemporary stars like Tamannaah Bhatia, Vijay Varma, and Mrunal Thakur are also going to star in Lust Stories 2. However, did the trailer really add to the excitement, well, I kinda doubt.

Lust Stories 2 is an anthology film created by 4 extremely talented directors- R. Balki, Sujoy Ghosh, Konkona SenSharma and Amit Ravindernath Sharma. The first part of this anthology focused on the importance of female pleasure and has the audience really has quite high expectations from the second. The high expectations mainly are because of the cast and the on-screen pairing in Lust Stories 2. However, the trailer failed to deliver the rush of emotions that we expected. It gives us glimpses of all the lust stories that are simultaneously happening in the film, but it was all kaafi overwhelming. The kind of chemistry we expected from Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma was nowhere to be seen in the trailer at least. Even the dialogues are so blah, except for a few lines from Neena Gupta. It is extremely disappointing to see that an anthology which did surprisingly well in depicting the sexual needs of a woman on-screen with the scenes and dialogues has such a bland trailer for the second part.

We were looking forward to Kajol blowing our minds with her role in Lust Stories 2 but the impression she has left from the trailer is really crushing our hopes. However, we are still trusting the final product that is going to release on June 29.
