New year, same old everything but a bunch of new films, at least! 2025 was a fairly good year at the movies; however, ye dil maange more! And therefore, we have made this list of all the promising films that are releasing in 2026. Some are sequels, while others have got us expecting something refreshingly new. From Dhurandhar’s second part to Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana. Check out this list!
1. Dhurandhar 2 (March 19)
While we are still not over the film and its stunning music album, we are now looking forward to the second part of the film starring Ranveer Singh. The direction by Aditya Dhar is still very much fresh in our minds, and therefore, the expectations are already very high.
2. Mardaani 3 (February 27)
I have always been a fan of Rani Mukerji’s performance in this franchise. The story, action and characters in the previous two films have been engaging. Now the third one has also got us excited.
3. Ramayana (November, 2026)
Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana stars Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi. Well, you already know that. What has me desperately waiting for this film are two aspects of it: VFX and the music by Hans Zimmer. Of course, the cast looks amazing too!
4. Alpha
Alia Bhatt and Sharvari’s entry in the YRF spy universe, yes, we are all here for it! While we still know nothing about the film, the cast, and the subject already sounds interesting!
5. Avengers Doomsday (December 18)
The fifth installment in the Avengers universe after the 2019 Avengers: Endgame! Our favourite Marvel superheroes are soon coming back on the big screen, and well, the fandom here is an unspoken thing.

6. Love And War (August 14)
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next film starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal is another much-awaited film in 2026. The lead actors are amazing and the director, well, we are aware of the wonders he creates on the big screen. Fingers crossed for this one!
7. Chand Mera Dil (April 10)
I am hopeful about watching happy rom-coms in 2026. And I am putting my faith in the Lakshya and Ananya Panday starrer Chand Mera Dil.
8. Supergirl (June 26)
Enough of Superman, we are now rooting for our girl Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El AKA Supergirl This one’s from the DC universe.
9. King
SRK’s next with Siddharth Anand is going to be quite a big film this year. The film looks high on action and drama. Even Deepika Padukone is a part of King. So we have many reasons to be excited about this one.
