Lisa Kudrow Reveals Watching Friends After Matthew Perry’s Death, Says It’s Comforting

Lisa Kudrow, who played Phoebe in the beloved Friends, recently revealed watching the show’s reruns after her close friend and co-star Matthew Perry passed away. In case you didn’t know, he died back in 2023 because of the acute effects of ketamine. While talking about watching the project, she revealed that it really comforted her. Lisa Kudrow appeared on Capital FM, during which she revealed that after Matthew Perry died, there were marathons on television, and “that was really comforting watching the show.” She added that it was also “just because it makes me laugh, and there he was.” While talking about the actor, she mentioned that he was very hilarious, and according to her, Matthew, who played Chandler Bing’s character, was the funniest on the show. Lisa also said, “Sorry, everybody else, but just truly.” However, the actress also praised other costars from the show, saying that everyone made her laugh a lot as well. She revealed that watching Friends has become a new pastime for her.

Lisa Kudrow reportedly mentioned that she didn’t watch every episode of Friends when they were shooting, adding that she had a kid, recalling, “It was, like, ‘Oh, it’s Thursday night (at) eight o’clock?’ We were on too early.” The actress expressed that she didn’t desire to take showbiz very seriously, adding that one realises how essential that kind of escape on television is with a laugh that makes one feel good. Lisa noted that it was just important and kind of healing
