Lilly Singh Says South Asian Representation In Hollywood Won’t Happen Overnight But She’s Willing To Pave The Way

When I was I kid, I unknowingly clicked on a Youtube video and it was one of the best decisions of my life because it was Lilly aka Superwoman’s video. After that, I became a fan of her because she was so funny and creative. She was also one of the few South Asian women who were getting recognised for their talent in the western entertainment industry and now she’s ruling the world. Recently, Lilly Singh spoke about diversity and South Asian representation in Hollywood and said that it won’t happen overnight but she’s willing to pave the way. Yes, we believe in you!

When I say Indians are shining everywhere, I imagine Lilly Singh in my mind. The Youtuber and former talk-show host recently talked about the representation of South Asian women in the western entertainment industry and said that it won’t happen overnight. “I don’t think it’s going to happen overnight. We’re not going to wake up one day and see five desi girls in one room,” she said in the interview.
