On Wednesday, One Direction’s Liam Payne tragically passed away in a hotel in Buenos Aires. After an emergency call was made by the hotel, the Buenos Aires police responded quickly and arrived at the location. The call reported an “aggressive man who might be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.” Earlier, Liam Payne opened up about his struggles with alcohol addiction and mental health battles and shared a video, mentioning that he had been sober for six months after going through treatment.
Liam Payne Suffered From Alcohol Addiction And More Health Issues
According to Digital Spy, Liam Payne suffered from various health issues since birth, which he described in his 2011 book, Dare to Dream – Life as One Direction. In the book, he revealed that he was born “effectively dead,” and initially doctors could not identify the problem. Although he appeared to be fine later on, there were still underlying health concerns. He explained that he was born three weeks early and he kept falling ill.
From the age of zero to four, he was always in the hospital getting tests done, however, doctors couldn’t find out what was wrong. Furthermore, they discovered that one of his kidneys wasn’t working properly and it had scarred. So, he had to have 32 injections in his arm in the morning and evening to make him better. Liam Payne also mentioned that he had both kidneys, however, one didn’t work. Hence, he had to be careful to not drink too much, even water and had to keep himself as healthy as possible.
