Lewis Hamilton bounced back with a blast at the Bahrain Grand Prix 2025 with P5. The racer remains in the process of getting the grip of the Ferrari machinery after a big move from Mercedes. In recent updates, the racer had a lightbulb moment.

Lewis Hamilton On Finding Ferrari’s Cheat Code

Race day proved to be a better experience for Lewis Hamilton, who went from P9 to P5. Along the way, the racer had a lightbulb moment with the Bahrain race, which he hoped would pave a better path for him at Ferrari. The team double-stacked both drivers at the first round of pit stops, with Leclerc and Hamilton aiming for the middle stint on medium tyres.

This turned out to be a crucial experience for him. While speaking to the media, Hamilton highlighted, “Yeah, much more positive.” He mentioned how the middle stint aligned with his car and that his driving worked at that moment. He revealed that he learned more this weekend than the rest. The key, according to him, was to get back to it every weekend.

Lewis Hamilton continued, “And also set-up, I’ve been a bit all over the place, a long way from Charles the past two weekends, and then slowly migrated towards him.” Starting the weekend with a convenient spot and applying techniques he learned over the weekend was the code for him for a better Ferrari future. He felt that the machinery was ‘alien’ to him after previously driving for McLaren and Mercedes, as mentioned by Sky F1.

He mentioned how, as humans, we get stuck in our own ways and that he drove a certain way for a long time. Hamilton mentioned he had been using engine braking, which was new to him, as brakes, if you’re on Brembos, and that he had been on carbon industries for the last 15 years.
