South Korean actor Lee Yi Kyung is once again facing backlash after the woman who previously accused him of inappropriate online behaviour released another video containing what she claims are real DM exchanges between them. The messages the victim has posted contain explicit and inappropriate texts where the actor is trying to flirt with the woman. Reaction to these messages has been mixed, and Lee Yi Kyung has also cancelled several appearances due to his ongoing controversy.
Lee Yi Kyung’s Victim Shares Alleged Explicit Messages From Actor
On December 12, a new screen-recording was posted on social media by the woman “A” to counter the accusations that her earlier screenshots were AI-generated or fabricated. She also wrote in her caption, “For anyone who still thinks this is AI, raise your hand. This is really the last one. If this is real, then the rest of the KakaoTalk messages are real too. I am embarrassed, but I have no choice.”
In the newly uploaded clip, A scrolls through what she is alleged to be the original chat window with Lee Yi Kyung. According to A, the conversation began on January 26, 2024, when she messaged the actor, stating that he was her ideal type and inquiring if he was open to dating foreigners. He purportedly replied, “Your Korean is really good. Which country are you in?” A then said that she told the actor she was German and had been living in Germany.
Netizens were surprised to see the series of explicit messages that A claims were sent from the actor. Some of the messages read inappropriate messages like, “It’s crazy to think how our conversation got this far just from talking about your chest,” and “What size are you?”
Reactions to these messages were mixed. Some netizens think that the conversation looked mutual, and wonder why A decided to publish the private correspondence online. Others feel uncomfortable with the alleged remarks and write that they do not want to see the actor in the industry anymore.
Meanwhile, Lee Yi Kyung has strongly denied all the allegations from the beginning as fabricated and “completely untrue.” His agency announced he has already filed a formal police complaint requesting an investigation into A on charges of defamation and false accusation.

Career-wise, Lee Yi Kyung has withdrawn from the show Hangout With Yoo, and his appearance in The Return of Superman was cancelled. While much of the public remains divided, both sides will be expected to submit evidence as the case moves toward legal review.
